Achieving healthy hair and scalp really needs a lot of time and patience in preparation and doing it. We also need to know the right materials and ingredients to see the best results. Just like cooking it needs to prepare all the things we need to achieve our goal which is to have a very nice and delicious dish.
If you want to have a healthy hair, start try taking care of your hair follicles.
- Apply coconut oil to your hair once a week to your scalp and hair. It will moisturize the scalp and hair to keep it from being dry. Do not apply coconut oil if you have oily type of hair because you will get greasy limp hair.
- When going to sleep, braid your hair into big loose braids. This will allow you to have less knots in your hair and prevent hair loss.
- Try to brush your hair only when its necessary. It does not make your hair any healthier or better. In fact, it makes it worse. If you really do need to brush your hair, try a boar bristled brush. It massages your scalp and distributes oils from your roots to your ends, so it prevents split ends.
- Blow dry your hair and scalp. The heat may not be good for the health of your hair. Try to air dry your hair instead of blow drying. If you prefer blow drying make it quick and the heat should not hurt your scalp but the scalp should be dry after blow drying. Wet scalp is prone to infection and bacteria to form dandruff.
- Use a wide-comb brush when your hair is wet. Wet hair tends to be brittle and thus it will break right away when you comb your hair when its wet. Wait for a few minutes for your hair to dry and then use wide-comb to brush your hair or you can use your fingers to run to your hair.
- Eating a lot of protein is really good for your hair. You can search on the internet about foods with high protein that would help you achieve healthy hair.
- Wash your hair every day. Washing hair everyday removes excess oils which contribute to hair loss because it will block the hair follicles and thus making it weak.
- When shampooing, apply it at the back of your hair. Apply the shampoo at the back of your hair, add a little water, massage it until foam is formed and then move the foam to the top of your head. This will prevent the chemical ingredients of the shampoo sticking to your scalp.
